Protagonists of the cultural soul of the event are inedited exhibitions and cultural initiatives related to the topic "Mediterranean Design between present and future". From national to international boundaries, the topic includes initiatives that start from Turkey and arrive in Italy and contains, among others, international online contest dedicated to Mediterranean Design announced by www.palermodesign.it, the magazine directed by Vanni Pasca, Professor of History of Design. In occasion of the IDW-design weekend ’09 the projects winner of the contest will be announced, exhibited and rewarded. The inedited exhibition will gather the best design, visual design and photographic projects chosen by the Jury of the contest.
